Dear Questers:

How to focus our spiritual activity? I think a lot of things are appropriate and I hope that Questers provide leadership in organizing some focused activity. Richard Wing for instance has proposed some specific things. We are creating a matrix, manifesting really the highest and best of the Planetary Matrix, and thus I hope we see some mutual leadership coming through many Questers. Volunteers and concepts are eagerly sought.

How to do things in the ewaves of the iway? It seems to me that we are forming, among others things, what we might think of as a little church of the internet. We might think of it that way but if you are like me there is a lot you do not like about churchianity, I always think of the Church Lady made so famous on Saturday Night Live, so for me it is not the easiest of analogies.

So instead of thinking church, let us think of circles, people forming into circles to offer …. devotion….worship…..love….and hopes of escaping the past and gaining admittance to a better future..

Let us think therefore of Circles of Love as the principal metaphor. It has many great virtues, one of which is its neutrality vis a vis the past lunacies, if you know what I mean. I propose this as a major part of the core of our spiritual association, which will be one of the three organizational legs of the Phoenix Quest Fellowship.

The Meditation Circles can be employed for any type of healing, counseling, spiritual development, and world transformation work. Using the best techniques of the ages, the Meditation Circles turbo charge the traditional practices of individual prayer, visualization, affirmation, and meditation into a vortex of transformational energy for creating immediate results, even miracles….

In its simplest and most profound essence, a Circle of Love is a prayer to God to establish us in a relationship with the highest forms of divine wisdom and powers of divine love to uplift, transform, and heal a condition in self, family, and Earth. To begin the Circles, meditative mantras (which are the same thing as prayers or affirmations) are used to help focus our minds and bodies unto the relationship with God and the great spiritual gifts of love, inspiration, and wisdom. Then the mantras focus us on the needs which are seeking fulfillment or the conditions which need transformation. These practices can take many forms for many different types of practitioners, and of course the condition which is being addressed may require special considerations.

A Circle of Love needs a specific focus, a conductor, a schedule, and a time and place. A Circle of Love can be a one time effort or it can be repeated as a regular program or institution which is trying to accomplish a specific type of healing. For timing, the focusing of the celebrants into a circle with the Divine Reality should generally take about 15 to 20 minutes. For focusing the energies to accomplishing specific results, another 10 to 20 minutes should be allowed. Some celebrants will generally want spontaneously to add some mantras which are more closely attuned to their personal agendas and this should always be accommodated as much as is practical. The conductor needs to maintain a balance between focus, scope and timing.

The Circle of Love can be conducted as part of a physical meeting at any time or place but it does not need to be limited in space. A conference telephone call around the world could link together those who want to join in. Or, an internet Chat room, or a streaming audio/video tape, or even just a web page with a prayer on it can be employed to link together the Circle of Love into a common focus of energy at a selected time. Naturally a radio or TV show could also work quite effectively.

Since the Phoenix Quest Fellowship is primarily linked and sustained through the internet, we can conceive that the Circles of Love program for the time being is best linked through web pages and Chat rooms on the internet. Accordingly, the primary spiritual activity of our Fellowship is on the internet, and just at the moment it is the Chat Room of the Phoenix Quest Email Discussion Group Homepage at Yahoo. Raindancer’s Circle - Drought Healing Circle For The Earth

Ideas for the circles, Volunteers for conductors, and help for creating the iway linkages will greatly desired. Note, these links may not all work as of this date, but they all will work fairly soon.

So in our Circles of Love we connect with the Matrix of energies on the physical and spiritual planes and manifest the highest and best purposes which we can achieve in as diligent method as we know about to overcome the past and reach for the future.

We can approach our Circles of Love in the super romantic way which I laid out in the book of Sacred Initiations. In this approach, then, the Circle of Love is composed of a gathering of people who share certain introductions, mantras (sayings or chants or prayers) and stimulate and channel spiritual energies, which are experienced as intense feelings of love, joy, bliss, and peace, which are focused to accomplish specific things for specific people or situations.

In this approach, the book of Sacred Initiations can serve as a guide or training manual in the basics of creating the focus and channeling of the spiritual energy. But this approach, which is completely structured around breath technique, is not easy to coordinate in the physical, let alone on the iway between people who have not begun to practice it regularly. Richard Wings "heart convergence" methods are an even more disciplined technical method for people who are really serious about making spiritual breakthroughs. I would like to work with his approach but I don’t know how to do it group wise over the iway just at the moment.

Cornplanter recently sent us a very spontaneous but very brilliantly written description of just tuning into an ecstatic consciousness without much to do on ceremony and technique, he takes the be here now do it quite literally. And it is quite workable in our Circle of Love on the iway. Here is what he said.

"I went to New Mexico, and put in an acre garden at 7300 ft elevation, where in a 10 year period one can expect to see snow in each month of the year. (Not the same year.) I was not given enough fertilizer, but I took the "advice" of my Hopi friend in Washington State, and I stood on a hill overlooking my garden every morning before sunrise, and greeted the new Sun. I greeted the Sun, the Moon, the sky, the clouds, the rain, the trees, the shrubs and grasses and weeds, the animals, fish, frogs, birds, and insects, and I greeted the nature spirits, earth spirits, devas, and all beings one might imagine being around such a gathering of energies. I called forth Love, and I called forth the dissolution of pain and suffering; of tightness in the land; of up-tightness in the aura of the land; of separation between all energies present and the Heart of God. I called forth the Light, Love, and Power of God daily to cleanse this land; to energize the garden; to bring gentle rains regularly and to bring forth springs or water to make the dry creeks run once again. (They ran 100 years ago, before over-grazing caused a drying of the landscape.) And I emphasized different aspects at different times, but always called forth Love as the "Order of the day."

The garden, which was my focus and my job, was miraculous. I was able to see the dirt change color, and also to grow vegetables which the locals all said were impossible, with no other explanation than the prayers each morning. Certainly I used a fine quality compost and manures and kelp meal in the garden, but not enough to change the color of the soil or grow miraculous crops. But it/I did. I know that being "steadfast" in Love for Earth and all Creation, seen and unseen in any area, can cause changes in the physical makeup of earth. It can cause water to flow down from the sky, or up through the earth. When one does a rain dance, it is not the dance, but the pure heart which brings the change in weather."

In this simple testimony, Cornplanter expressed the essence of what I spent an entire book (Sacred Initiations) trying to demonstrate.

Could we, with this main idea, invoke the Circles of Love in such a way that we will manifest in such a way as to spread out and catch up all of the Earth and humanity within them? Could we dare to dream to create enough pure heart in our Circles of Love to overcome enough of the drought conditions to enable the plants and animals to survive?

And where do we start such an wondrously foolish thing?

The Circles of Love need focus and repeating schedule. All nature works on the synergy of repeating patterns and so do our own lives unfold. Here are some concepts.

We begin by creating a simple schedule, and work to catch up more people into it so that we have Circles of Love manifesting at all times on something which needs to be loved into transformation. There is no limit. We can add as many Mantra Rooms and webpages and conductors as we wish, THERE IS NO LIMITATION TO THE MULTIPLICATION OF THE CIRCLES. Oh, there are the limits of imagination and dedication. But Questers can break these bounds in one leap.

For The Raindancer’s Circle

I am going to begin by using the Phoenix Quest Chat Room at Yahoo.com At seven PM each day, either myself or someone else will lead a Circle in a meditation. To begin with we will focus on creating the Raindancer’s Circle The meditation will be on a webpage and read and vocalized. Those who join in will extend the scope and power of the Circle and create greater results.

I suggest we begin each Raindancer’s Circle by reading the webpage on which Cornplanter’s fine advice is posted. Then let your mind flow through the mantras which follow. Among these mantras are poems, song fragments, and inspiries from various sources. Then we will attempt to use the Mantra Rooms to provide a shared source of audio feed over the internet. This will not work for more than 50 people and it may be very choppy and more counter productive than useful. If this does not work out on a given night, just tune into the webpage and share the meditation focus at the same time as all other Questers simply by vocalizing it as your own mantra or prayer.
