You have heard of the Weather Report? Here exclusively is this week’s "Earth Report" - a short review of the "big picture" about how the dynamic changes in the Sun and the Earth are effecting our lives more and more intensely, with the latest prognostications and predictions for weathermen, farmers, investors, businessmen, and every man.

On the geophysical front, ANOTHER busy news week indeed. Seismic activity continued in the same pattern as the Full Moon Perigee and the last two weeks. THERE MANY MORE QUAKES THIS WEEK, totaling some 23 quakes in the range of 4.5 to 5.7, IN THE DEEP OCEAN RIFTS OF THE MID-ATLANTIC, EAST PACIFIC RISE, AND INDIAN OCEAN NEAR THE EQUATOR AS WELL AS MORE QUAKES IN THE ARCTIC ZONE. These rift quakes, especially the 12 in the Mid Atlantic Rift, paralleled some 13 quakes in Europe and four in the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico. This is an even clearer signal of a global tectonic shape-shifting event and it clearly parallels Cayce’s predictions of how the major Earth Changes will unfold prior to the shifting of the poles. Volcanic activity up slightly over last week. The SUN at the moment is relatively calm but Sunspots at 200 yesterday is driving humans crazy, as the shoot outs in New York City Hall, Phoenix, and Iraq show. All predictions stand, NO SIGN YET OF A NORMAL JULY OR AUGUST on any front. All warnings from last week stand: like the little Chuckie horror doll, the drought IS BACK but fires thank God are falling under control. IT WILL BE ONE HELL OF AN AUGUST.

On the geopolitical front, LITTLE CHANGE DURING THESE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER. ALL CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO DECAY INTO INCREASING DISORDER. A culture of mass deception and denial continues to sow and reap. The latest "Big Lie" from our august "establishment" is, TA DA, " Recession? What Recession? It was over a year ago." At least that’s what a Treasurer Secretary aptly named "Snow" would have you believe. Folks that’s a test pattern broadcast by Central Casting. If you believe that one, you will believe anything. Those who believe it are going to be swept up and assigned to slave status working for mutant clones of the Borg Empire. Beware the Earth | Mars alignment. And beware the Ides of August when the double-header planetary alignment forms up around the Mars alignment. Expect random violence and impulse-driven sicko behavior to escalate. Be mindful of your children at all times.

Most news media do not handle technical and scientific subjects like geology and earth sciences very well. They don't understand the causes and effects of activities in the Sun and Earth. Accordingly, they often do not understand if, when, how, why to report earthquakes, volcanic activity, global warming effects The treatment often sounds absent-minded, poorly qualified, and frequently contains various technical errors. No change from last week. Steady as she goes. As previously reported, a slow acceleration in the shifting of the poles has been underway for perhaps the past 100 Years and the last three decades has shown an increase in the rate of acceleration.

No news since last report: a slow acceleration of the rate of drift towards the spin axis is underway.

The Moon this day is in its North Node (North of the Earth’s Equator) and we just passed the Lunar Apogee July 22 at 19:38 UTC, some 404329 km from the Earth.

The next planetary alignment will be on August 1 with an Earth | Neptune alignment. and another will form up and again on August 18 a double header alignment will form between Earth | Mars | Neptune on one head and Venus | Jupiter on the other head. Since the orbital speeds of Mars and Earth are very similar (compared to the rest of the solar system), their alignment will be very close most of the month.

Sunspot activity has picked up considerably and has been above 200 for the past few days. THIS WILL KEEP ALL ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS IN EXTREME. Great for aurora watching.

Sunspots climbed to 160 by July 16 three days early as is typical of alignments for the Mercury | Neptune alignment on July 19. Two minor jiggles up and down brought the count to 225 on July 20 when they fell slightly to 200 as of yesterday July 22.

This may be the peak (seven days early) for the Earth | Neptune alignment. Or not. Since this is early for early, we may see yet another climb but my mind argues no. The solar flux is at about 152 today July 22 and is headed down. A drop in the flux usually parallels with a sharp drop in sunspots.

These counts are much higher than I would have predicted.

Regardless, we will not get much relief. The count is highly likely to stay above 100 and rise again for the Earth | Neptune alignment on August 1.

AS REPORTED LAST WEEK: God only knows but I think we are even now merging the Earth’s magnetic atmosphere with Mars and I think the counts will not get much lower than a 100 most of the time for the next month.

There is not a good explanation for this huge surge in solar activity, THOUGH TAKE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR THE DOWNWARD SLOPE IN THE SUNSPOT CYCLE TO BE FULL OF SURPRISES LIKE THIS. Practically all sunspot cycles have one or more major surprises.

All bets are off or maybe all bets are on, depending upon who the House is. There are a lot of close connections and several alignments during August. August should be an even bigger rockem and sockem solar month than July. I predict that we are going to see a distinctly "third" peak in Sunspot Cycle 23, produced by the high average counts of sunspots during August 2003.

MONTHLY AVERAGES IN SOLAR CYCLE 23: Over all, the sunspot average count (ISSN) for February was 46.4 and for March it rose to 61.5. The number for April was 60. May’s average was 55. The average sunspot count (ISSN) for June, was 77.4 up nearly 50 percent over May. That is a highly significant deviation from the projected curve. (These numbers are reported by Jan Alvestad). LIKELY NOW, BOTH JULY AND AUGUST WILL BE EVEN HIGHER.

As of this moment, the Solar Wind Speed is a modest 473.4 km/s at this hour (about 2 PM, AZ time) YET it is pushing a modestly thick density of 4.0 protons/cm3. These momentary fluctuations continue to mean little during these times. Currently the Fluxgate Charts at the University of Alaska (which measures magnetic disturbances in the Earth’s atmosphere) shows

NASA PREDICTS: "AURORA OUTLOOK: Sky watchers should be alert for auroras on (or about) July 27th when Earth will enter a solar wind stream flowing from a coronal hole on the sun. The best observing sites will be at high latitudes--e.g., southern parts of New Zealand and Australia, Canada, and northern US states like Wisconsin and Michigan."

Alvestad’s prediction for auroras is more optimistic: check out the next four days and you will probably be rewarded with a good show.

Jan Alvestad reports: "The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled on July 22. Solar wind speed ranged between 407 and 505 km/sec. A large coronal hole (CH49) in the southern hemisphere will likely be in a geoeffective position on July 24-29, a thin western extension could be in a geoeffective position on July 22."

EARTH WEATHER PREDICTION FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS:

AS PREVIOUSLY PREDICTED: The Mercury | Neptune alignment on July 19 should keep the weather manifesting random extremes in unpredictable places from about July 25^th through to the first week of August, when the another round of alignments will take up the slack and continue to drive high sunspot numbers which will drive the atmosphere at times into exceptional frenzy all the way through to about the middle of September.

THE DROUGHTS ARE LOCKED IN AND FORGET ANYTHING CLOSELY RESEMBLING A REAL MONSOON SEASON. IN THE MIDDLE LATITUDE AREAS AND FURTHER NORTH, FLOODS MAY OCCUR WITHIN SEVEN DAYS AFTER ANY OF THE PLANETARY ALIGNMENTS THIS SUMMER

LATE AUGUST IS GONNA BE A DOOZY COMPARED TO THE HUGE FLOODS WE HAVE SEEN IN CHINA THIS JULY. THAT WAS JUST THE TAME STUFF.

CLOSE TO NO MONSOON AT ALL IN THE PACIFIC SOUTHWEST

Drought conditions are not likely to disappear until October or November of this year.

The monsoon began to advent about July 10 – 15 with a dramatic increase in humidity, which has persisted through to today. But normal thunderstorms remain widely scattered and short lived. Some areas are finding an inch or two of sudden rain but most areas are receiving very little. The normal monsoon is not forming up and it may never quite appear though it may "threaten" to appear or actually give us a brief overnight fling once and a while.

AS PREVIOUSLY PREDICTED: Doubtless, weather extremes during August will be no slouch. On August 1 an Earth | Neptune alignment will form up and again on August 18 a double header alignment will form between Earth | Mars | Neptune on one head and Venus | Jupiter on the other head.

AS PREVIOUSLY PREDICTED – THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING AS DESCRIBED TWO WEEKS AGO: Since the speeds of Mars and Earth will be very similar, their alignment will be very close most of the month, tending to keep sunspots counts high. The approaching Earth | Mars alignment may keep the solar flux index high, magnetic index high, sunspot counts high, and thus the Earth’s atmosphere expanded with the jet streams tending to flow through the high latitudes. This will tend to drive the monsoon moisture into higher latitudes, where summer floods will occasionally form up.

EUROPE CONDITIONS

More adverse conditions widely felt in portions of Europe. Will send some info seperately.

We left the Perigee Syzygy period this past week on the 19^th, according to Berkland, but it made not much difference. July 17 recorded the largest number of quakes for both this past seven days and for the last Full Moon syzygy, 33 quakes in the range of mag 2.5 plus. All other days have been relatively high in numbers for a non-syzygy week, generally above 15 and quake magnitudes have not been on the light side. Most quakes summarized below came in the range of 4.5 to 5.7, with a couple of 6.0 plus quakes thrown in.

This pattern of greater rifting than normal (which cannot be anything other than shape-shifting of the Earth) showed up in three rift zones, in the Indian Ocean, the East Pacific, and in the Mid-Atlantic. These rift zones are the spreading zones in the Earth’s crust and are typically called mid-oceanic "rises" or "ridges" (which are formed from the flow of magma up from the mantle to create new ocean bottom crust).

The Mid-Atlantic Rift was the most revealing this week. A quake struck high in the Deep Arctic on the Mid-Atlantic Rift-Rise North of Iceland, near Jan Mayan Island. During the week another 12 quakes struck along the Mid Atlantic Rift at many different latitudes ranging from South America up through Iceland. The greatest number were near Iceland. Most of these quakes were in the range of 4.5 to 5.5

Also during the week there were an unusual number of quakes in France and Europe, some 16

with one as far East as Poland. There were only a couple in the Aegean area. There were also 4 quakes in Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico, neither of which typically get much activity in a "clump".

Just like it is impossible to divorce "oil" from the invasion of Iraq, it is impossible to suppose that these quakes are not connected to the shape-shifting which is signaled by the nearly rifting and increased pressure which the Atlantic bottom plates are now exerting against Europe to the East and America to the West.

SPECULATIVE PREDICTION FOR WATCHING AND LEARNING: WITHIN NEXT TWO to 12 MONTHS VOLCANIC ACTIVITY IN ICELAND, JAN MAYAN, AND ALL VOLCANISM ASSOCIATED WITH THE CARIBBEAN TECTONIC PLATE, INCLUDING THE VOLCANOES IN CENTRAL MEXICO WILL SHOW A MAJOR INCREASE IN EMISSIONS AND ERUPTIVE BEHAVIORS.

The pattern of seismic activity rippling down the oceanic rifts (down the latitudes) was seen as well in the Indian Ocean. Seven more quakes struck along the Carlsberg Rise and another section of the Great Rift in the Indian Ocean. As in the Atlantic, quakes struck at multiple locations of the Rift, separated by at least a degree or two in distance. Six of these quakes were very close to the Equator, clearly within a band Cayce called the "torrid zone".

Ditto the Pacific along the coast of Mexico and California, where 4 quakes stuck along the East Pacific Rift, one directly under the Northern section of the Baja Plate Segment. Two more small quakes in the range of 3.0 struck off the tip of Lompac indicating increased movement of the Baja Plate sliding past North America. One of the four quakes was a 6.0 quake off Mexico, which was followed by a substantial "belching" of ash by Popo, enough to dust Mexico City in white soot.

There are other widely scattered quakes, many above 5.0, in China, Chile, South Pacific, Philippines, AND, most especially around Japan at plate margins, where many quakes struck.

In "The Prophecies", which is the third book in the Return of the Phoenix trilogy, I concluded that in all probability the clearest and final "signal" of the advent of the long prophesied transformation in the Earth would be seen in the increased energy and PATTERNS of the quakes and volcanoes which resulted from increased motions of the Earth’s tectonic plates. I proposed that the most significant pattern we would likely be seeing would be obvious patterns of quake activity seeming to move up and down the latitudes along particular longitudinal zones. I speculated we might begin to see such a pattern a year to two or three before the shifting process began to become destructive.

For the first time since I began to watch three years ago, we are now beginning to see such a pattern. This does not mean that this is a linear process leading to a shifting of the poles sometime soon. It may now relax for a while, or it may even accelerate for a while and then relax. God only knows. I personally remain half convinced that the Earth Changes are the least of our problems for the next three years. I think that it is the muy loco natives on Earth which are our main problem for at least the next couple.

The trends for Western North America were mostly in the syzygy groove.

The USGS Chart for the Pacific Northwest reveals 28 quakes (two week sum, down from 47 last week) widely scattered throughout mostly Washington State. The Rocky Mountain Cordillera had 17 quakes scattered throughout Utah (down from 28 from last week).

CONTRARIAN: The USGS Chart of Yellowstone Cauldera Area shows 5 microquakes during the last week (up from 4 last week). Hood also was contrarian, with one, up from none last week. The USGS chart for Long Valley Cauldera (Area) showed a running total of 20 (up from 19 last week).

The following prediction was partly true. It was true for North America. On a worldwide basis it would take some graphing work to decide. Magnitude average was probably down but I am not sure about Frequency. PREDICTION: EARTHQUAKE ACTIVITY AFTER JULY 17 SHOULD DECREASE DURING THE FOLLOWING SIX DAYS in both frequency and magnitude.

No predictions this week. It’s too hard and does not provide much.

After a vigorous ash emission this past week which blanketed Mexico City lightly, El Popo settled down to a 24 puff day. Centrapred reports for July 23 (16:00 GMT) that "In the last 24 hours the monitoring system of Popocatepétl volcano recorded 5 low to moderate intensity exhalations, mainly accompanied by steam, gas and sometimes small quantities of ash. The most important was detected today at 01:00 h (local). The other monitored parameters remain without important changes. At the moment of this report the volcano is clearly seen. No important emissions are observed."

OOOPs, late breaking eruption news about Colima From the Southwest Volcano Centre:

"As of the 23rd of July, and after having been translated from Spanish, the Observatorio Vulcanologica of the Universidad de Colima reports that an explosion of the volcano Colima is causing alarm within the population. The personnel of Civil Defence outstanding Jalisco on the snow peaked Colima reports 500 m of height of incandescent material and 3000 m of displaced ash column by the wind in southwestern direction. The personnel of the Observatory made a route by the South zone of the volcano observing the following: In spite of having single a partial vista of the volcano due to the cloudiness it was possible to be appreciated that the explosion produced at least five pyroclastic flows with maximum ranges of 2 km On the Cordobán ravines center, Cordobán orients, Grande Mount and San Antonio and very possibly on Colima. In addition, a zone of between 2,5 and 4 km the southwestern west of the top with small forest fires product of the impact of the incandescent material sent by the volcano was observed. The observations indicate to personnel that the explosion was directed towards this sector. Testimonies of the outstanding military in Marijuana inform to have observed that hour, a dark cloud that rose of the base of the volcano and quickly was taken to the west by the wind. This was accompanied by a roar produced by the rocks that lowered by the slope. The observed cloud had to the ash more likely that accompanied the pyroclastic flows. Around 1400 hours another observed explosion took place and was clearly seen. The cloud also produced was loaded of ash. This rose at least 1000 m and quickly was taken by the wind towards the southwestern west. The seismic registries show that the amount of energy released in this explosion is smaller to half of released by the explosions happened during 1999. The occurrence of this explosion is framed within a post-eruptive explosive process since it has come observing from 1999 and it does not represent a reactivation of the activity of the volcano.

The Colima volcanic complex is the most prominent volcanic center of the western Mexican Volcanic Belt. It consists of two southward-younging volcanoes, Nevado de Colima (the 4,320 m high point of the complex) on the N and the historically active Volcán de Colima on the S. Volcán de Colima (also known as Volcán Fuego) is a youthful stratovolcano constructed within a 5-km-wide caldera, breached to the S, that has been the source of large debris avalanches. Major slope failures have occurred repetitively from both the Nevado and Colima cones, and have produced a thick apron of debris-avalanche deposits on three sides of the complex. Frequent historical eruptions have mostly originated from Colima's summit crater. The current eruptive episode began in November 1998 and has included summit lava-dome growth, block lava flows, pyroclastic flows, and intermittent explosive activity."

The Ditech Arbitrageur is sharply up this week. Their advertised TV rates are up to 5.5 and 5.804 for short term and long term mortgage interest rates, up about one half percent in one week. That is a big shift.

They are telling us that the economy is beginning to move in positive directions. Yet jobs continue to be lost at record rates.

AS REPORTED LAST WEEK: Oh, its grim, unless you are being stimulated in China by the giant sucking sound in the American economy which is bleeding jobs into China at a faster and faster rate. Unemployment at the end of June stood at a ten year high of 6.4%. The Imperial Faction has just wiped out ALL the gains of the Clinton Feelgood Years. The job situation will probably remain bleak throughout this year unless you have a clean background and are willing to work for less than $10/hr. in the burgeoning security industry or for $7.00 at Wallie World. I will send a separate set of Bulletins on this situation.

UNKNOWN SECRET FACT: Northern Arizona and New Mexico have not suffered much of the recession and continue to expand economically. The economy is driven by people moving in to retire to escape the urban war zones. Good location for contractors, builders, wood products, and new wave or new paradigm shops, health, etc. Inquire of the Quest family.

Ken Lay, just a good ole boy Texan, the Presiding Officer of the rape of California Consumers, otherwise known as Enron, is still scott free with his crooked billions…LOU DOBBS’ scoreboard: After nearly two years, 57 indicted crooks, 16 of them from Enron, 1 indicted crook is in jail, none of them is Ken Lay.

AS PREVIOUSLY WARNED: WATCH MID to LATE AUGUST. Various intuitive impressions are flowing from many sources about August and the Earth | Mars alignment. This may be related to Palestine, it may be related to something else.

The main change as of July 23, 2003 is the question "was it murder or was it military action?" Fair question but frankly the Sons of Saddam probably were not going to surrender. There is little point in second guessing from such a long distance. The Arabs need to see their dead faces.

It’s 4 billion a month in Iraq and close to one billion a month in Afghanistan. And the guerilla war is just beginning to heat up….

All of this goes nowhere until the West develops a "social plan" – a new "National Industrial Development Plan" for Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine which engages their populations and undertakes to immediately create mass employment. The historical crux is that the me-first crowd of the Boomer Bubblehead generation is incapable of understanding how you organize anything - NEW. All they know is how to manipulate what exists to take advantage over others and use their influence to overcome restrictions created by previous generations for sound and good reasons. They call their thing free enterprise, competition, military superiority, and "greatness". It used to be called "a lack of imagination" and lack of "due respect for the needs of others".
