INTRODUCTION | HOW TO PRINT | PDF VERSION KEYS TO COLUMNS | NOTES ABOUT TERMS HOW TO USE SUNSPOTS TO PREDICT THE WEATHER HOW TO USE THE MOON'S ORBIT TO PREDICT EARTHQUAKES The calendar is a scrolling chart with one line for each day in 2003. Eight columns summarize key lunar and solar information for making climate, global weather, and earthquake forecasts. Many annotations have been added to provide a capsule of what lies in store as the year unfolds. These annotations refer to various predictions which are presented in various ways in the articles in the Almanac. The calendar contains all Full and New Moon Dates, Lunar Apogee and Perigee Dates, Major Holidays, and, most especially, the Planetary Alignments. (Pluto alignments are not included because alignments of Mercury or other planets with Pluto rarely seem to increase the sunspot count.) At the bottom of the chart, lines for the first several weeks of 2004 have been appended in a section section. These have been added because there are a number of important planetary alignments in January and March which may tend to drag out Sunspot Cycle 23 and the extremes it creates in Earth's weather. The calendar can be printed out on regular 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper in landscape (horizontal mode). If you desire a printed version, download the PDF copy of the Calendar. The web page version will print out but generally the browsers do not do a good job of dividing the calender up into logical segments. The PDF version prints out a month on each page. By using the lunar information, you can tune into the window of greater and lesser danger from earthquake activity. Both New Moon and Full Moon periods (during which the Earth and the Moon are in a straight line with the Sun) increase seismic activity. Where the perigee moment of the Moon (the time when it is closest to the Earth during its monthly orbit) often times has a great impact on the activity of a New or Full Moon. For exactly how to tune into these " seismic windows", go to Jim Berkland's wonderful website at http://www.syzygyjob.com. He generally posts a specific prediction for each month and many other people, including psychics, are posting predictions at his site. By using the planetary alignments to predict sunspot peaks, you can tune into the periods of bad, chaotic, or extreme weather. For an outline of how to use the Earth Changes Calendar for this purpose, read the following explanation. |
