UPDATE TO OVER-RIDING CONDITIONS

The dust settles as the world watches the inauguration of Barack Obama.  Great enthusiasm and optimism among a great many greet him in this historic event.  Elsewhere, a cold wind is a-blowing and a hard rain is a-falling.  Gaza oozes blood from the Israeli bomb and pillage operation, now temporarily suspended, and all the world's economic news continues to detail the accelerating collapse of planetary trade and national economies on every continent.  In Washington DC and New York, the political class discusses the so-called Obama Stimulus Plan- is it too much and unaffordable, as suggested by the Desk-Top Knights of the War Of Terror, or is it too timid, as suggested by Paul Krugman, a well-known economist and avid critic of things politic? More probable than not, it is better seen as the Obama Bailout Plan for local government and some sectors of industry.  It will keep cashflow afloat for a little while longer, while, as all Bears now agree as they discuss the economy over the corpses of the Bulls, all equities and corporate profits will sink another major chunk as the real estate and construction industries, not to mention the transportation and tourism industries, continue to close up shop for a long depression.

COSMIC FACTORS:  

Sunspot Count -  During the prior week, the Sun responded to the alignment of Mercury | Venus  with a five day rise in the Sunspot Count to as high as 20 on a  flux of 70. For the past five days there was no additional activity but suddenly the Sunspot Count rose to 11 today for the alignment of Mercury | Earth (today) on a rising FLUX of 72, which is sure to auger another increase in Sunspots tomorrow. This new activity is cropping out in the circle indicated about three days later than is often typical for planetary alignments but within patterns which we have observed during the past six years. There is a coronal hole in the Northeastern Hemisphere of the Sun's atmosphere and SIDC in Brussels reports that the solar wind from it struck the Earth this morning, prompting both NASA and SIDC to predict livelier conditions in the Earth's atmosphere.  The Planetary A Magnetic Index (upper atmosphere field strength) has fluctuated in the range of about 3-10 for the past month and a half and is now at about 3 (blue line on the graph above). Alaska's Fluxgate Monitor (U. of A.)  shows only a couple of very small disturbances on the "surface" on the "solar sea" through which the Earth sails..  NASA expects some activity and disturbances  during  the next few days from, predicting up to a 20% possibility of severe magnetic disturbances in the high latitudes. The Mercury | Earth planetary alignment on January 19 may very well produce a rise similar to the rise with Venus and it could even surprise us during the next 48 hours. FIREBALL SIGHTING: 

COMET WATCH BEGINNING:  - nothing new yet, this from last week

ATMOSPHERICS:  La Nina is clearly in evidence and now NOAA reports officially that we are in a cold water LA NINA Pacfic Ocean climate regime (which influences the Jet Stream and thus the climate of the entire planet). La Nina at the moment is a borderline condition and during the last two weeks this condition has slightly weakened.  There are many individual model projections, the majority of which are not correct most of the time, but some of them are at least half the time, like the weathermen of old, and  at the moment at least half of them appear to show that La Nina will persist through Spring 2009. Some also are describing this as a MIN period in the Pacific Ocean Oscillation but in fact the North Pacific Warm Spot (between Hawaii and the Gulf of Alaska) has returned.  This appears to be turning the Jet Stream into a knot which is producing chaotic activity in the normal flow of marine air to the North and across the continents.  Pacific Marine is being driven into the Yukon to the Arctic Circle, from whence it flows down through Minnesota and oh boy, is it going to freeze, snow, and be miserable ALL parts east of the Mississippi.  This condition probably will persist for the next few weeks.  The North Atlantic Oscillation is now dissolving in the NW Atlantic and I have no idea what this portends at the moment for Europe.  All this has produced incredibly large distortions, or perhaps swings is a better word, in the Jet Stream and air mass flows.  Forget weather forecasts, look the satellite maps which loop you through 12 hours of cloud air mass flow. Go with the flow.   For the next ten days of  NOAA weather predictions, go to Climate Center Weather Maps.  Expect cold, snow, rain, and slow storms where it has been most stormy for the past 30 days, for the California Coast, Rocky Mountain Cordillera and Great Plains, a stationary high will persist for some time, conditions now dry and for awhile.

 GEOPHYSICAL FACTORS:     No significant change in the average track of the Spin Axis.  Currently the Spin Axis has passed away from the Y Axis  for this spiral turn (the Spin Axis got as close to Siberia as it gets and is now headed towards Alaska).  The wobble spiral continues to expand normally in its outward track and will reach its maximum SPIRAL size on the X Axis (X MAX of its seven year cycle) during 2009 .  See Polar Motion for additional information.    

LUNAR SYZYGY:  The next Lunar Syzygy period extends from approximately January 20 through to January 29.  An Extreme Southern Declination of the Moon is exactly in Apogee on January 22/23 as the Moon heads toward the New Moon Phase on January 26/27.  This spread dilutes the power of the Moon, which will be at its furthest approach from Earth (Apogee) thus further diminishing the lunar influence on both tides in the oceans and on the land.  More probable than not, a very modest New Moon Seismic surge, with more activity in the Southern Hemipshere than the Northern.See The Lunar Cycle  for more details. 

 QUAKES: After two mild Perihelion  - Perigee surges, seismic activity has been vigorous in the Class 4 to Class 5 range during the past several days, a little above average.  The Americas have been mainly silent, most activity has been on the Western Pacific, especially related to the northern edge of the Australian Tectonic Plate. The relatively mild quake profiles for December and January suggest that the Tectonic Activity trends have leveled off.  This condition should continue through much of 2009, probably no Class 8+ quakes, perhaps lower than average (of the last year) for all Class 4+.  For more on quakes go to Earthquakes. 

VOLCANISM:  [1-19-09 ECB]   The IVRC Active List dropped to 18 in December 2008 and is now already back up to 29 as of this day.  That is as much as the average number of active continuous eruptions during 2008, according to the IVRC update summary web page.   Restless List is at 6 while the Alert List is back up to 65.  The number of updated reports is typical for this week and most of the activity reported is related to minor explosions and occasional ash venting.  Kilauea is still expressing lava, Stromboli nightly explosions are still a major tourist draw, and the volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula are still at it with ash emissions and some lava flow, and Soufriere Hills on Montserrat is still generating an ash plume.  As during last Fall, Kamchatka and the Carib plates appear to be the most vigorous areas at this time. Our herald Etna is apparently slumbering, but fitfully, a minor ash/steam emission was reported this past week.

Doubtless, the volcano season for 2009 is now beginning to surge but  most of the action is still minor within the major continuous erupters.  A few occasional erupters are sputtering on and off.  The surge is off to a good start, with a significant spread of 29.  This may be a strong year for volcanism.  Equally doubtless is that 2008 was not a record year. So 2009 can be a more active year and it will not have to set any records to do so.   Since these counts in 2007/2008 are key to my Tectonic Activity Trends Charts, I am going to spend a lot of time this next week counting activities at each of the volcanoes.

EARTH CHANGES STANDING SUMMARY -  The United States celebrates a magnificant accomplishment with the inaugeration of Barack Obama, a clear historical victory over racism which will never be forgotten.  The political mood is ebullient with hope, much now seems possible.  But all we can do is hope.  In accordance with the Cosmic Frame, tectonic activity likely will begin to surge again through to February 09 during the next phase synchronicities between the lunar and terrestrial orbits.  But keep in mind that the Earth's crust is complex, anything can and sometimes does happen at any time, and thus no accurate predictions can be made consistently.  The Earth Changes Global Warming scenario is more difficult to predict and the weather effects are more chaotic at this time.  Solar input is very low this year, about the same as last year, hence Greenhouse Gas effect is zip, if not negative, accordingly Global Warming and all extreme weather patterns are being driven this year almost exclusively by the warming of the world ocean which now appears to have slowed as well.  Human conditions remain confused and contrarian, war and peace trends are unclear but clearly a major push is being made to instigate reasons for imperial expansion.  Economic conditions continue to disintegrate, most prognosticators are now Bearish on most economic issues. 

GEO-ECONOMIC FLUX - - 

Chaos rules at the moment and a deep panic is rippling around the world.   It will probably take another year or two to fully mature. The Cayce 25 year economic cycle has come to fruition almost a year later than I predicted in 2004, but still very close to Cayce's specs and to the specs laid out in "The Coming Economic Collapse of 2006".  Major exception, the Chinese, Russian, and Euro economies are more closely tied to the structure of the U.S. Bubble Inflation than I supposed, they are falling much harder than I thought they would.  But they should be able to rebound more quickly as they adjust their trade patterns to support each other more strongly.

The only people feigning optimism is the political class who are clueless and as always a full generation behind the times.

All Bears signal another 30% to 50% drop coming, all the asset appreciation of the Clinton-Bush years will be gone in another 12 months.

Oil, down and likely will be down in the current price range for the next two years, perhaps even puddling down to $20  a barrel (and gasoline at under a buck).  That is when you will know what you have hit the bottom of the Great Depression during the Collapse of the Last Empire.

The banksters and oil monarchies will fix a stable price again but it is difficult to guess where this will be at this time, it will take some several months, maybe a full two years to reel in.  They would much prefer the $100 range but with worldwide depression howling in the wind, not a chance for at least a TWO YEARS.  With depressed oil price, so goes gold and all commodity prices for many many moons.  

For all parties, the only exit is to dump Globalism.  No one has the vision to rebuild the planetary economy as a whole, it must be done at the community and national levels, as of the days of old.  Anybody who claims otherwise is completely ignorant of history and is a frothing at the mouth radical lunatic who wants to experiment with your life.

So the question is where to dump the dough down to bake the bread of the next economic real boom (not bubble).

NEW SUMMARY COMING SOON 

The downside of low prices for oil is the tremendous braking effect this will have for alt. energy schemes.  Shades of the alt energy bust of 1982 under the Reagan Regime.  For at least the next year a lot of stuff will come along more slowly because the markets are currently much slimmer than they were just six months ago.  Whatever emerges from alt energy, will have to be a strong techno breakthrough to break the oil monopoly when the price of energy is below $50 per barrel.  A review of the heavy research in alt energy is enough to convince me that such a breakthrough is now occurring and it will take only a matter of months and a few years to generate the wave of activity which busts out the R&R Cabal.  Miraculously, there are a few mutually independent pathways which will get us to the right place and all of these are already in inventor garages, close to being more aggressively promoted. The cost of hydrogen production, for instance, has been dropped to 10% or even possibly to 1% of its former BTU requirements by at least four different approaches, which changes EVERYTHING about the sociology of power on the planet Earth.

So for the real economic fix, go with alt energy, that is it in a nutshell.  For all else, especially for failing industries and governments, go with Michael Moore's Maxim.  Fire 'em!  . Fire all the auto execs and other industries in trouble, buy their outstanding stock, and shove the companies into restructuring processes.   Don't fall for their scams. Why is the Tribune declaring bankruptcy?  Because the rich families which owned them sold them to a conglomerate which borrowed all the money from banks to buy them from the previous wealthy owners who are now ever so much wealthier.  So a profitable industry was made a debt-ridden industry and now cannot pay its interest and debt payback.  Liquidate the conglomerate, throw off the debt, leave the newspapers free standing, and let the banks sue the crap out of the manipulators who put together the conglomerate. It is that simple.  IT IS THEY WHO OWE THE MONEY. 

DON'T BE A CHUMP FOR HUMBUG ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every one of the failing financial institutions is just a variant of a Ponzi Scam, most of them run by white-collar Ivy League Jewish gangster networks.  Bust em. Break em. Dissolve them into oblivion.  Sue all of them and prosecute the entire class any way possible for breach of fiduciary responsibility.

GEOPOLITICAL FLUX - -  

PROGNOSIS ON AMERICAN POLITICS:  As Obama suggested, time for hope.  Create certainty, go get solar and hydrogen fuel technology to dissolve the power of the corporations and bankers.   Every solar BTU kicks Rockefeller butt.

SPIRITUAL FLUX  - - 

On the horizon, still too dim to be clearly perceived by most, forces in the Spirit Realm are pushing aggressively for more rapid transmutation of conditions and actions.   Rather suddenly, in some cases, the masses and classes will realize with a start that the world has changed dramatically, in some cases never was what we thought it was, the old concepts about as useful as the clothes we wore in our school days.

As previously reported, the power of the Blue Star Kachina continues to grow as a major ingress of higher plane energy expands for those seeking it.  Look for a small blue diamond in the inner most recesses of your mind's eye.  Reach deeply inside your experience of the now.  Seek for the "feeling" of an energy or vibration within your head.  REMEMBER REMEMBER REMEMBER.  Awaken to the higher energy.  Now is truly the time to build an internal link to consciousness of this energy.  As this link strengthens, the internal power of lucid peace will grow, hopefully strongly enough to surmount the highly charged emotional astral chaos of the next Solar MAX, which most likely will be the most chaotic period of human existence in several decades, quite possibly for several centuries.
