CRITICAL ALERTS [Earth Week Summary]

[February 11, 2008 ECB; MWM] "Current Week's Summary"

COSMIC FACTORS:   The Sunspot Count was zip all this past week but the Flux is currently rising and is now at 73 as of February 10.  There is some strong intermittent solar wind turbulence as the Earth sails through two solar wind streams.  As a consequence the Magnetic "A" Index is currently rising and Alaska's Fluxgate Monitor Graph has been pegged twice during the past 36 hours.  Many prominences are being reported on the edge of the Sun at this time, but NO CME's or flares at any level have been reported for the past six weeks.  Nevertheless, more stormy solar weather is possible at any time and is becoming more probable than not during the next two weeks.

 For the next 48 hours, NASA predicts a 1%  or less probability of major explosive or flare events on the Sun with a 1% to 40% probability of major magnetic disturbances in the Earth's atmosphere in the higher latitudes. A sudden solar wind gust and major auroras are always possible from the coronal holes aimed at Earth which now can be seen in the Sun's atmosphere.  For more details on current sun go here.  

All planets are randomly dispersed at the moment as the alignments of the inner planets during the first week of February pull apart.  But on February 23 a double header involving alignments of the two biggest inner planets with the two largest of the outer planets culminate with Earth | Saturn & Venus | Jupiter.  Expect this to produce a dust-up on the surface of the Sun about February 15-18 and expect a re-energizing of stormy weather on Earth during the last week of February. See Planetary Alignments for longer range forecast.  Sunspot Activity is likely to rise and fall modestly (peaks under 30) several times to produce a stormy February on Earth, then a respite during early March, and then a very stormy early Spring just before the Spring Equinox on March 21. ATMOSPHERICS:    La Nina was clearly dissolving and probably still is is but we cannot tell for certain because the Sea Surface Temperature Graph we use has not been updated as of today.  In general, expect continued normalization of weather patterns with another bout of storms during the last week of February.

 GEOPHYSICAL FACTORS:    Once again the track of Earth's Wobble appears to demonstrate a substantial deviation from a normal track.  What has been a smooth outward expansion since March 2006 is now apparently too truncated to be called an expansionary spiral.  It is "retarded" and parallels far too closely the spiral track of 14 months ago. It should be showing progressive enlargement, but this is no longer evident.  There are two possible explanations.  One is that this Seven Year Wobble Cycle will be smaller than normal (which happens frequently).  Another possible explanation is that the Wobble is merely showing us that significant drift in the average location of the center of the wobble has been and is still underway, such that the spiral center is now drifting towards the left bottom of the chart (down towards about Longitude West 70-80). This the Wobble has also done before.  A third possibility is that both factors are in play.  Stay tuned, the Wobble continues to be more dynamic than anyone previously imagined.  See Polar Motion for additional information.

The Moon is moving rapidly to Full Moon on February 21/22.  At this moment the Moon is at a middling distance headed to another middling Perigee (closest distance to the Earth) at near an Extreme North Declination (North Node) on February 15/16.  Expect from this very little that is remarkable, but another increase in Class 6+ quakes is likely in a few days and then again during the Full Moon.  We are currently in a period with lunar cycles becoming less and less synchronized and this disconnection will continue for several months.  This syzygy and the next several should in general produce relatively only small spikes in seismic and volcanic activity. 

At the current time, earthquake activity Class 4+ is about average with an elevated level of 6+ quakes during the previous 60 hours. Two Class 6+ quakes struck in the Southern Hemisphere, one of which most notably was along the Australian Tectonic Plate, apparently as part of the New Moon Syzygy which is now past.  Quake activity appears to have returned to normal levels and this is likely to hold for a few days.  At the end of this second week in February, Perigee and North Declination are in synchronicity, followed several days later by the Full Moon.  Look thus for a lulling at this moment and an increase during the following week.

Despite the sedate pace in earthquake activity, this lunation is pouring on the coals of the volcanic Changes In The Earth, as it were. A major surge of volcanic activity is underway, activity is now reported in 29 volcanoes, up another 3 over the last week, bringing at least a 45% increase already for this Volcano Season.  Almost all report profiles for these 29 were updated within the past five days, which is highly unusual, indicating the reality of this surge which is generating ash emissions in at least 25 volcanoes, primarily around the Pacific Rim, some with pyroclastics and lava flow.  Lava flows or strombolian explosions are being reported in the remainder.   Doubtless this Perihelion Surge is making for an active Volcano Season (first half of the year) during 2008.

Kilauea STILL remains incredibly productive of lava flowing into the ocean and sulfur dioxide emissions have now become a serious issue for Hawaiians.  This is a seriously rotten development (forgive the pun, but sulfur is an indication of incredible levels of magma heat flow in the crust. Etna, an important herald, is still silent, not even on the active list at this moment.  Popo and Colima, along with most of  the regulars of last year on the Carib Plate, are definitely heating up.  Erebus, Stromboli, Yasur, and Arenal continue their long ever-lasting eruptions.  (These typically produce lava lakes, lava fountains, and strombolian explosions except that Kilauea's eruption mainly produces long lava flows into the Pacific Ocean). Watch Etna's summit, it will telegraph soon if the 2008 surge will be on par with 2006/2007. 2008 looks to be an interesting year for volcanoes and it may become a record year. SPIRITUAL FLUX  - -  As previously reported, the power of the Blue Star Kachina continues to grow as a major ingress of higher plane energy expands for those seeking it.  Look for a small blue diamond in the inner most recesses of your mind's eye.  Reach deeply inside your experience of the now.  Seek for the "feeling" of an energy or vibration within your head.  REMEMBER REMEMBER REMEMBER.  Awaken to the higher energy.  Now is truly the time to build an internal link to consciousness of this energy.  As this link strengthens, the internal power of lucid peace will grow, hopefully strongly enough to surmount the highly charged emotional astral chaos of the next Solar MAX, which most likely will be the most chaotic period of human existence in several decades, quite possibly for several centuries.

GEO-ECONOMIC FLUX - -   As previously advised, ABOVE ALL REMEMBER ROOSEVELT'S ADVICE:  THE MAIN THING WE HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF.  Once again THE PLUNGE PROTECTION TEAM of the Central Bankers will be working over time this week.  You no doubt have noticed that they are weakening.  Their inability to pick the market up this Monday is a significant marker that the bundling and turnover problem is so large that logistics are drifting out of their orbit.   As previously advised,  don't expect 12,200 on the DJI to hold well.  THE PANIC is ever greater and in full force and a substantial sag yet will be seen during the following days and weeks in the U.S.  The rest you already know the essence. It will be a miracle if they can hold the line at 10,000, some extreme Bears are predicting something in the range of 6000.  Cayce gave the formula for predicting what is happening some 70 years ago and once again is RIGHT ON THE MONEY. This process will continue for awhile.  Each week I shift things around to work toward a completely different alignment of the material and presentations.  I am evolving it to press it into a completely different server software environment as well as have major components which serve more as integrated documents which are structured so that a print version of some material can be generated on an annual basis.  We will know I have gotten close when ALL links work and the Weekly Update is sectioned into four or five web pages and the front one (this one) is far lighter in bytes than it has been.

The Changes In The Earth - Global Summary

A RECENT CHART DEFINES "THE CHANGE IN THE EARTH". Click to see the threefold trend in world quake activity 4+ for 1973-2007. This increase in seismic energy is signaling all the other Changes In The Earth, including Global Warming.  Daily average frequency of 4+ quakes has risen from 11 in 1973 to about 35 in 2007.  The average rose dramatically during 2005/06 and is currently lower.  The daily average for 2007 will probably rise a little by the end of the year and may rise more slowly during the next few years.  Statistics are tricky master illusionists so be careful with this following thought:  an exponential growth curve can be drawn through earthquake data 4+ to project another DOUBLING of the current frequency by about 2020.
