No formal Weekly Update for October 13 2008
I returned from Snowflake Homecoming Weekend today. Had a lot of fun and
spent almost no time on computers. There is not enough time nor enough
physical content of interest to merit the work. Plus, no email for five
days, now I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds to plough through.
But here is a quick profile of the primary physical frame.

Large Magnetic Storm On Index Magnetic A = 37, October 12
This is a one day surge, now falling back rapidly to typical level at
about 5
VELLY INTERESTNICK
The Snowflake Arizona Substation went off line for about an hour during
the peak of this storm. Very high winds from Southern California flowing
through Arizona past Snowflake. Sudden major fires break out of control
in the San Bernardino Mountains area of Southern California virtually
parallel with the magnetic storm. Very very interesting indeed.
No other major storms or disturbances now underway. Earth is flowing out
of a coronal hole solar wind stream.
Quakes
Seismic frequency Class 4+ is about normal for all magnitudes, almost
all were subduction or compression zones running from the Fiji Islands
to South Central Asian Mountains. South Central Asia is the greatest
focus of release.
